Whit a capacity of 50 beds, Florence Nightingale started to operate in 1989 as the first hospital of the Turkish Cardiology Foundation. During the first years, approximately 250 open heart surgery were performed. Today it is the largest private hospital in the country where approximately 2400 cardiac and 3500 general surgeries are performed successfully every year. Whit a capacity of 302 beds, it serves successfully in all disciplines with particular emphasis on cardiac and vascular diseases and orthopaedics. Florence Nightingale has become an internationally recognised medical centre and it closely monitored by the select academic circles of Europe and the United States. By merging the most advanced medical technology with the concept of superior service enthusiastically embraced by the experienced medical staff and all personnel and being the first in implementing what is today considered the norm in the medical sector, Florence Nightingale has become one of the few institutions which lead and shape the health sector.
