Dr Charles Hu, president of Beijing Intech Eye Hospital, is the International member of American Academy of Ophthalmology and the member of American Society of cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Hu graduated from Beijing Medical University（now it is called Peking University Health Sciences Center）and accomplished the residency in ophthalmology training at Beijing Friendship Hospital.
He took fellowship in Division of Ophthalmology, Stanford Medical Center, Stanford University School of Medicine, Retina Service, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, in 1980’. He also received research training at National Eye Institute, NIH.
Dr. Hu, now happily practices in Beijing, specializes in diagnosing and laser/surgical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases. He has more than 20 years experience in laser refractive surgery. Inherited from his outstanding parents who were both glaucoma specialists, Dr. Hu has strong clinical research interest in glaucoma prevention, diagnose and treatment.
As a clinical doctor, Dr. Hu is not only well known as an ophthalmologist, but also is an enthusiast in preventive medicine. He is the founder and a key surgeon at Intech Wellness Center.
Dr. Hu serves as a member of Chinese Committee for Prevention of Blindness, member and secretary of Ocular Trauma Society. He has been tremendously involved in teaching program and scientific meeting/conference organizing activities. He is also the founder of Bright Vision Foundation, which is a charity and educational organization for prevention of blindness.
